Cranky and Salah Fafah Pay Tribute to Raiss El Hajj Mehdi Ben Mbark The Amazigh music scene is in mourning following the tragic discovery of the body of singer Raiss El Hadj Mehdi Ben Mbark, found lifeless in Casablanca. The 90-year-old artist, missing since March 3rd, was an iconic figure in Amazigh music, renowned for his powerful voice and emotionally rich repertoire. Prior to his disappearance, Cranky, had initiated a musical project in collaboration with Salah Fafah, a virtuoso of the Ribab, and Hassan Tays, one of the finest voices in Amazigh culture. Together, they created a track that fuses modern electronic sounds with Raiss El Hadj Mehdi Ben Mbarks song Manik Arad skergh Ayamargi. This project, combining tradition and modernity, pays tribute to Raiss El Hadj Mehdi Ben Mbarks legacy, celebrating his contribution to Amazigh culture through an innovative and respectful piece of music.
