To say the Serial Killaz are legends in the Jungle/D&B scene would be a massive understatement. If you havent been off your nut while listening to these guys push the limits of the subs, well then turn up the volume, strap on the camo and get ready to throw them elbows. We teamed up with the boys to release the Tarzan and Jane of Jungle comps. Over two full on mixes they take you on a journey of smoothed out ragga sounds, headbangin dirt and even some classic hip hop samples thrown in for good measure. No Jungle Cakes Comp would be complete without us giving you the goods contained in the mix as well. Gwan and get yours!

Welcome to the Jungle Volume 6 comes to us courtesy of a certified dance music pioneer. Our selecta Ray Keith's legacy dates back to the 80's even before acid house landed in the UK. He was one of the raves earliest heroes an early architect of what would become the rave movement. He's followed breakbeat through all its paces and when jungle emerged in the early 90's to take dance music in whole new direction, he was-and continues to be-one of its most stalwart champions. His 1990 remix of Orbital's "Chime" is a legendary track and was the genesis for his long career as a producer. He has since not only penned remixes for the likes of Moby, LTJ Bukem and Roni Size, his own back catalog contains hits and classics a plenty. Ray's career spanning three decades has seen him lay waste to thousands of dance floors and create at least three generations of tough AF junglists. Ray is in top form for his Jungle Cakes mix. The two part journey gives this master selecta ample time to lay out his story and express the full breadth of his abilities behind the decks. This is a master class in how to lay the bass down for the junglist massive.

Ed Solo and Deekline have spent the better part of two decades at the forefront of bass music. Not only have they been champions of the most raw and dirty beats, many would go so far as to say they are some of the architects of the ragga Jungle sound. These two bad boys have consistently pushed the envelope in new and exciting ways, and are steadfast in their ability to look into the future while always paying homage to their roots. They're legendary for their skanky riddims as the low end technicians behind classic tunes like "Bad Boys" and "King Of the Bongo." They've returned to drop science on the masses for the 5th installment of the Welcome to the Jungle series, which has now become a flash point for the freshest and most forward thinking sounds in the genre. Spread across 2 dynamic mixes the boys lay down the bass in an aural journey through dirtnasty bass and crispy clean rhythms. The Jungle Cakes crew always pays intensely close attention to detail, and only selects tunes that are both teeth rattling and forward thinking. Industry heavyweights like Serum, Bladerunner, Serial Killaz, Benny Page and JFB have all laid down the weight contributing their best beats to knock the subs. Of course No Jungle Cakes compilation would be complete without a dizzying array of edits, remixes and originals from the bad boys themselves: Deekline and Ed Solo. Like the four comps before it, this is destined to become a future classic.
