If you've been following Dirtybird for any amount of time—especially over the past decade—you know Brazil is very near and dear to our hearts. We've honestly lost count of how many Brazilian artists we've signed at this point (three dozen?!), but we've never stopped being impressed by the wild, forward-thinking sounds that continue to come out of the country.\nWe'd been trying to get down there for years—we came this close in 2020—and last December we finally made it happen. Seven cities, a whole lot of shows, and right in the middle of it all, a five-day writing camp at D-Hauz Studios in Belo Horizonte.\nBuilding community has always been at the core of Dirtybird, so we tapped into the incredible local scene and brought together a dozen producers, singers, DJs, and instrumentalists to see what kind of trouble we could get into. The week exceeded everything we hoped for: new friendships, core memories, unexpected collaborations, and most importantly, a dozen records we're incredibly proud to finally present as "D-Hauz Lab."\nThe music goes all over the place—in the best way possible. Different genres, weird sounds, fun vocals, banging beats, and plenty of surprises. Exactly what happens when you put a bunch of talented people in a studio for five days and let them cook.\nA massive thank you to D-Hauz for opening their doors and making this possible, and much love to the whole crew: BadComppany, Breaking Beattz, Belami, Breno Miranda, DJ Glen, Jones, Pator, Pitros, LINTZ, Sudden Heat, and Ribguga.\nVamos, família!!
