"Buscando Money" has been this year's house music phenomenon. Tayson Kryss's brilliant Reggaeton topline, married to TWENTY SIX's cool-as-you-like minimal tech beat, has seen billions of TikTok views and festival crowds jumping and singing to the drop. What more could we add to this incredible success story? How about an A-list DJ with multiple DJ store #1s and over 11M monthly listeners? That would work! So, here comes French Latin Tech sensation HUGEL to add his unique techengue flavours to the catchiest club song this side of Christmas. Joined by Jesús Fernández, HUGEL brings bongos and timbales aplenty, giving "Buscando Money" a mainline shot of South American energy. Bingo!
We are huge fans of the Organic House movement that has grown up around artists like Tim Green, Volen Sentir and Roy Rosenfeld. If we are building a house set from the ground up, the foundations are often from labels like All Day I Dream and Lost Miracle. One of our favourite artists is Gorje Hewek. His hypnotic style regularly provides that transition from the super-deep grooves above to the heavier pulse we want to hear later on. "Forever" is one of our favourite tracks of his and after some chat back and forth, he sent us this incredible version of "Children". A wee bit of sample clearance later, and now it is yours to enjoy. So, if you're looking for the perfect sun-kissed anthem for your pool party, this is it.
We love an artist who is open about their musical journey. Many producers want to rip up all the "old" and create a new alias for their "new" sound as soon as they feel a slight change in direction. For us, this smacks of perfectionism and promotes unhealthy behaviour among artists. Skygroover unashamedly began life making EDM but discovered the joys of deep, musical, techy rhythms while living and making music in Brazil. The results of his newfound love were immediately apparent. We were lucky to hear "High" released earlier this year and loved its loopy heat and jazz chords. His follow-up, "Jazz Rhythm", is an equally sumptuous groove filled with clever Rhodes chords and wicked guitar licks. Add a superb sax breakdown, and you will have a future deep house classic right here. Dive in!
We were delighted when Doche sent in his first demo of this song. Despite Kevin living in London, we are still a Scottish label with our registered office in Glasgow. The original recording of this song (by the Average White Band and produced by Arif Mardin) has to be one of the greatest disco tracks conceived by the Scots [1975 US disco chart #11]. So having one of our artists create a new recording for 2024 makes us very proud. Doche takes Hamish Stuart & Roger Ball's guitar & sax melodies and re-wires them to a hot nu-disco beat. We've seen this one in action, and it goes off on the dancefloor. If you're a fan of Purple Disco Machine, this is for you.

It is that time of year again when our thoughts turn to Miami, so we have gathered the best of our recent releases to celebrate the Winter Music Conference. This collection mirrors what you hear on South Beach, from sunkissed beats for daytime pool parties to darker, tech-edged beats for late-night affairs.

Doche is the artist name of Hugo Doche, a multi-instrumentalist, producer and DJ from Belo Horizonte, an hour's flight north of Rio De Janiero in Brazil. Doche is a graduate of the LA Music Academy. His debut release for us was his version of the Donna Summer classic "Bad Girls". On that, his guitar and bass skills, combined with a brilliant vocal from Seattle's Kria McKenzie, delivered the shimmering Purple Disco style delight. His second release, "Million Dollar Bill", recreates the Whitney Houston anthem. This song has been done recently in a house style, but with Doche's disco production and Phebe Edwards' supreme re-interpretation of the song, we think this update has the legs to last as long in the Nu Disco charts as "Bad Girls" (still there, five months after its release!). It's another classy party tune.
